I recently had the opportunity to try out COLOP’s Little NIO journaling stamps, and I've had fun discovering a few different ways to use them!

COLOP sent me quite a few of the Little NIO items they offer, so I had several designs and accessories to play around with. I was especially interested in seeing how the stamps would work with my planning and paper-crafting projects. As it turns out, I found a few uses that I hadn't originally planned on!

From adding a handmade touch to my market packaging to having a little fun with invisible ink, these stamps turned out to be a fun addition to my craft supplies.

What Are Little NIO Stamps?

The Little NIO Stamp is a compact, self-inking stamp that creates a 17 mm round impression. It's designed with planners, journalers, and paper crafters in mind, making it a handy little tool for things like journaling, planning, calendar prep, and bullet journaling.

The main stamp set includes 10 interchangeable stamp designs, a pair of tweezers to help change the designs, and the ink pad.

One of the things that makes this little stamp different is its interchangeable design system. Rather than having to keep a separate stamp for every image, you can switch out the designs depending on what you're working on. That gives you quite a bit of variety in one compact stamp.

The ink is water-based, non-toxic, and acid-free, and I confirmed with COLOP that regular rubber stamp cleaner is safe to use on the stamps, which is very helpful when switching between designs and colors.

Adding a Handmade Touch to My Market Packaging

I actually found a use for one of the designs while getting ready for a craft market!

I had originally cut a batch of blank round stickers with my Silhouette to use as price tags for some of my products. I was looking for a simple way to label things without adding a bulky tag to each item.

Then I spotted the “Made with Love” stamp from the Handmade Set and had another idea!

In addition to using the circles as price tags, I stamped some of them with “Made with Love” and used them as little seals on my cello bags.

I love how something so simple can make handmade packaging feel a little more personal. It was also a great way to use a stamp design for something beyond the usual planner or journal page.

And that's one of the things I enjoy about paper-crafting supplies: sometimes you find a use for something that you hadn't even considered when you first opened the package!

I'm looking forward to using the Little NIO stamps on my Monthly Snail Mail Club envelopes! I think they'll be a fun way to add a little extra personality to the mail I send out each month.

I can switch up the designs and ink colors to coordinate with the monthly theme and give each envelope a little extra handmade touch. I’m especially excited to use the Christmas stamp set on the envelopes for my December and January packs. It's just one more way to make happy mail feel a little more special!

A Little Invisible Ink Fun

One of the more unexpected things I got to try was the invisible ink stamp set!

The kids thought this was especially fun. I stamped a few designs on their arms and then used the little blacklight flashlight to reveal the hidden images. They loved watching the designs appear!

This was definitely a different way to use a journaling stamp, but it was a fun little surprise. It also shows that these stamps can be used for more than just decorating paper. Sometimes the most memorable uses are the ones you stumble across while experimenting.

Other Ways to Use Little NIO Stamps

Of course, these stamps aren't just for packaging or a little invisible-ink fun. Their small, round impressions make them a nice option for all sorts of paper projects.

Depending on the design you're using, you could:

  • Add little details or decorative accents to planner and journal pages.

  • Mark special dates or occasions on your calendar.

  • Decorate envelopes and happy mail.

  • Add a special touch to thank-you cards.

  • Personalize handmade packaging.

  • Include stamped designs in scrapbook layouts.

I can also see these being useful for anyone who enjoys adding small decorative touches to their planning supplies without taking up much room on the page.

What Did I Think?

Overall, I had a lot of fun playing around with the Little NIO stamps. I like that you get so many different designs in one little stamp, and switching between them is really simple. The included tweezers make it easier to handle the small stamp designs without making a mess, especially when you're changing them out.

The different designs give you plenty of options, whether you're decorating planner pages, adding little details to your journal, or working on other paper crafts. I also like having the ink pad built right into the stamp. It keeps everything together and makes it easy to grab when you want to add a quick stamped image.

Another fun feature is that you aren't limited to just one ink color. COLOP offers interchangeable ink pads in different colors, so you can change both the stamp design and the ink color to suit your project. That gives you even more ways to customize your stamped designs and coordinate them with your planner pages, journals, or other paper crafts.

I think the Little NIO stamps are a fun option for anyone who enjoys adding little creative touches to their planning and paper-crafting projects. They're small, easy to store, and offer quite a bit of variety in one compact stamp.

I really enjoyed playing around with the Little NIO stamps and finding different ways to use them. I originally thought I'd be using them mostly for my planner and paper crafts, but I ended up finding a few other uses along the way! And honestly, that's half the fun of trying out new craft supplies. You never know what you'll come up with once you start playing around with them!

If you're a planner lover or enjoy paper crafting, I think you'll have fun finding your own creative ways to use these little stamps!
