Free 2026 Half-Size Calendar (Sunday and Monday Start!)
I’m so excited to share today’s free printable because it was a special reader request—and those are always my favorite! 💕
If you’ve been looking for a clean, simple, half-size calendar that fits perfectly into your A5 planners and binders, this one is for you.
This brand-new 2026 Half-Size Calendar (5.5" x 8.5") comes in both Sunday and Monday start, and I designed it with an extra blank page at the beginning and end. That makes it much easier to print double-sided without throwing off the layout or worrying about page alignment.
If you love planning in a more compact size, this layout is such a great option—lightweight, functional, and easy to carry anywhere.
About the 2026 Half-Size Calendar
This printable includes all 12 months of 2026, formatted to fit perfectly in any standard A5 binder, notebook, or half-size planner. I’m currently using a pretty pink one I found on Amazon.
Each month features a clean grid layout with plenty of writing space for appointments, important dates, and notes.
This style is similar to many of my full-size calendars, just sized down to be more portable. It’s simple, minimal, and super easy to use with any planner style.
How to Print This Calendar (The Easy Way!)
If you want your pages to turn out perfectly, I highly recommend cutting your paper first and then printing. Start with standard letter-size paper, trim it in half to 5.5" x 8.5", and load the stack right into your tray.
Here’s the easiest method I’ve found for double-sided printing (and trust me, I’ve tested a lot of methods 😄):
Leave collating ON in your print settings
Print all even pages first
Take the stack exactly as it comes out of the printer
Flip the whole stack over and put it back in the printer
Print all odd pages
That’s it! This helps keep everything aligned so your calendar flips correctly in your binder.
If your printer feeds differently, you may need to experiment with a test sheet—but this method works for most home printers.

SUPPLIES I RECOMMEND FOR PRINTING
A PRINTER
If you’re going to be printing in color, I really recommend investing in a Canon Mega Tank Printer. The quality of the finished product is amazing! If you don’t need a color printer, I highly recommend a laser printer like the Brother L23 Series. You will save hundreds on ink. You can also get a color laser printer, which I would LOVE to have!
PAPER
For everyday printables, planners, and coloring pages for the kiddos, I normally use Hammermill Printer Paper, 20 Lb. I love that you can get a small box of 3 reams instead of having to buy one at a time or a whole case of 10.
If I want something a little nicer, I use this laser paper, which is incredibly smooth and has very little to no ghosting on the other side. This is perfect if you like to use pens/markers that are prone to bleeding through to the other side.
For printing on A5 paper, I use this Blank 6-Hole Punched A5 Paper. You can also get it without the holes, but it’s $6-7 more. Which I think is odd because it’s usually the other way around, and you have to pay more for the hole punching.
