Hello, my Krafty Planner Pals! I'm linking up with Anne over at in residence for this monthly blog post. This is a list of things I'm currently collecting, craving, picturing, playing, and wishing. I'll jump right in!
Collecting: everything and anything owls. I’ve been collecting owls for about 15 years now. I have candles, salt and pepper shakers, vases, and cookie jars. I don’t display them all at once, I like to rotate them out and I have some special ones that I used during the holidays. I would love to add this Harry Potter Hedwig statue. It’s so elegant and beautiful that you wouldn’t really know it’s a Harry Potter collectible unless you’re a fan of the movies.
Craving: a warm spring day. I know it’s March and I live in NY, it’s winter, get over it. Right?! But I am so longing for a warm breeze on a sunny 70-degree day. Not too hot, not too cold, not humid at all. All of the snow and mud gone and all of the beautiful trees bursting to life. Come on Spring!
Picturing: a new home office. I would love to get rid of everything in the dining room (that we never use) and turn that into my office. So, I’m picturing hardwood floors and very light grey walls with white trim. Some old school lockers in one corner to organize some of my craft supplies. A big island in the middle of the room where I can work on my scrapbooks, memory journals, shop orders, and any other craft projects that are in progress. A new desk and chair along with a couple of bookcases and shelves to organize and store product inventory for my Etsy shop, shipping supplies, and some of my blog/business files. I picture this in my head every time I walk in or past that room.
Playing: Bingo! I went to bingo with my dad ever since I was 10 years old and we continued to go almost every week right up until 2010. It’s a memory that I hold very close to my heart and haven’t been able to go play a real game since he passed away. So whenever I get the urge to play I use one of the free apps like Bingo Aloha for the past few weeks. It’s fun, free and I can stay home where it’s warm so I’m already a winner even before I get started playing.
Wishing: that my grandson would start crawling already haha. He’s trying so hard but just can’t get it. He has really good balance and wants to stand up and play with his brother more than anything. I think one day he’s going to just take off running after him and skip crawling all together.
