Free Printable August Memories Journaling Worksheet

Hello, my Krafty Planners! Today I have a fun Bee-Themed Monthly Memories, Journaling Page for you.

For the last few months I’ve been documenting the highlights of my month on one journaling page. I love being able to look at that one page and be instantly taken back to those memories and feelings for each individual month.

Sometimes I like to add a couple photos and the Canon Ivy Mini Printer is perfect. The photo size is 2x3 and they’re actually stickers. Simply download the app to your phone and get started.

Onto the printable…

I wanted to break-up the page so you can separate your memories and not have just one big blank page starting back at you.

I decided to continue with the bee-theme and I love the big honey jar! It’s a great place to highlight a fun summer memory and the boxes are just the right size to add a small photo or two.

SUPPLIES I RECOMMEND for printing AND JOURNALING

A PRINTER

If you’re going to be printing in color, I really recommend investing in an HP Instant Ink compatible printer. The quality of the finished product is amazing! If you don’t need a color printer, I highly recommend a laser printer like the Brother L23 Series. You will save hundreds on ink. You can also get a color laser printer which I would LOVE to have!

PAPER

For everyday printables, planners, and coloring pages for the kiddos I normally use Hammermill Printer Paper, 20 Lb. I love that you can get a small box of 3 reams instead of having to buy one at a time or a whole case of 10.

If I want something a little nicer, I use this laser paper which is incredibly smooth and has very little to no ghosting on the other side. This is perfect if you like to use pens/markers that are prone to bleeding through to the other side.

For printing on A5 paper, I use this Blank 6-Hole Punched A5 Paper. You can also get it without the holes but it’s $6-7 more. Which I think is odd because it’s usually the other way around and you have to pay more for the hole punching.

If you're printing a binder cover that you to be fade-resistant and last a long time, the best paper I would recommend using Epson Presentation paper. It's heavy like cardstock (48 lb), is great when laminated, and is made to last for decades.

JOURNALING

Even though you only need a pen and paper, here are some of my favorite journaling supplies if you want to check them out:

  • I like to use a few different notebooks for journaling but my favorite is this Leuchtturm1917 Softcover. I prefer the squared pages but you can also get the dot grid, lined, or blank formats.

  • If you would rather use a spiral binding, these notebooks are the best! I love that they come in a three-pack so I always have an extra one on hand. These are also squared format but I think they are available in line and dot grid too.

  • To be honest, my go-to pen is a simple, classic black Bic but when I want something a little fancier I use either use these Muji Gel Pens or these Micron Sakura Pigma.

  • Get creative with your journaling and add some Washi Tape, Stickers, or if you’re artistic you can draw your own doodles.

  • Sometimes I like to add photos to my journaling and over the years I’ve tried a bunch of different printers. I started out using this Fujifilm Instax Mini but it wasn’t very practical to carry around all the time. Since the quality was so much better when I use my phone for pictures I decided to splurge on the Canon Ivy Mini Printer. It connects directly to my phone through the app and easily prints on 2x3 sticker photo paper that I can add right to my journal page instantly.
